The "Obidients", supporters of the labour party presidential candidate Mr Peter obi have been directed to ignore the recent news flying around that the Labour party lacks capacity to man their vote in 90 thousand pooling booths across Nigeria.
This was made known in a press release by the Labour Party Presidential campaign council, (LPPCC) made available through the party's spoke man Dr Yunusa Tanko this afternoon, Sunday the 8 of January 2023.
This come as a counter to an alarm seemly raised by a tweeter user suggesting that the LP is currently having challenges meeting up with the provision of INEC required number of pooling unit agents accross 90 thousand pooling unit across the country particularly in the northern region.
The tweet screen shot attached with the LP press release obtained from Dr. Yanusa Twitter handle this afternoon, further called Peter Obi "online supporters" who claim they are the structure to make themselves available for the duty.
In his reaction, Dr. Yanusa described the assertion as a
"Cheap blackmail, an pposition gimmicks to weaken the resolved minds of Nigerians to Vote Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed into power this year" and boasted it will neither fly nor stop LP from changing the narrative this year while he vows to unearth the source of the unwholesome story.
Dr. Yanusa doubted the concern would have emanated from the INEC as they gave political patties a window of up to January 20th on submitting their list of agents for the elections and as such cannot at this time raise concerns about any political Party not being able to submit enough agents.
He clarified that the labour party has more than enough party agents to guard their votes in all the polling unit accros all the geopolitical regions from East, west, south up to the far north of the federation. Dr. Yanusa said "LP has foot soldiers scattered all to man all polling units in the north and the entire nation". He therefore advised the "Obidients" not to be distracted by the mischievous story but focus on collecting their respective PVC's which he described as the weapons to dislodge the enemies of our dear country.
The press statement reads:
"The attention of the Labour Party Presidential campaign council, (LPPCC) has been drawn to yet another deceitful information circulating in the social media to the effect that our party has not submitted agents for 90,000 Polling Units in North Central, Northeast and Northwest.
We see this as yet another propaganda from the opposition to bring our rising influence down and deceive the electorate in an election year.
We have volunteers all over the country that surpass even the number of agents required for each Polling booth so the issue of not being able to supply agents for 90,000 units is a complete fallacy designed by the enemies of progress in Nigeria.
INEC gave a window of up to January 20th for political parties to submit their list of agents for the elections and as such cannot at this time raise concerns about any political Party not being able to submit enough agents.
The Labour Party has a task force on the recruitment and selection of agents headed by our presidential candidate H.E. Peter Obi himself and his Vice, Datti, the National Chairman and the National Secretary of the party are all members of that committee.
LPPCC is investigating the source of this propaganda because we know it is not definitely from the INEC.
We appeal to the Obidient family and the teeming supporters of our party to disregard the deceitful information and focus on the collection of their PVCs which are our collective weapons to dislodge the enemies of our dear country.

Dr Yunusa Tanko
